While a good deal of New Zealand is getting closer to business as usual, there are pockets of our community who are still struggling with restricted social contact.
In their interests of health, thousands of residents in aged care facilities around the country are experiencing severely reduce contact with their loved ones and the outside world. Friends and relatives who would usually take their loved ones out for lunch and a a little bit of shopping are currently not able to do so safely.
We all know how a little bit of retail therapy can lift the spirits and help while away the time, and while most of the nation were able solve this with online shopping sessions during lockdown, those who are not able to use a computer or tablet easily, or prefer not to shop online, could not.
At Linden Leaves, we wondered how we could help.
We decided it was time to go back to basics, and have developed a printable catalogue for residents of aged care facilities across New Zealand. If you work with this sector of our community and would like to be involved, please get in touch to find out more, or feel free to download our new catalogue and share it with your residents. We would love your help!
As a family owned New Zealand business we value community and family.
We are offering free delivery for our aged care facility residents, and a gift with every qualifying order. We’d love your thoughts and feedback on this new program, and if it is a useful service we’d love to continue with it post pandemic as well.
