Meet Sachiko Kawakami, April’s 20th Anniversary Competition winner! We had a chat to her about some of her favourite things, and how she felt when she found out she’d won $2,000 of Linden Leaves!
How did you feel when you found out you had won this month’s draw?
I was so thrilled! I initially pictured $2,000 worth of Lindt chocolate ha ha…. But I soon realised it was Linden Leaves which is even better! I am so grateful for this prize, thank you so much.
Tell us a little more about yourself?
I was a single mum with a 6-year-old daughter, when I migrated to New Zealand from Japan in 2003. We initially lived in Canterbury and then moved to Tauranga. New Zealand has healed my soul and continues to empower me.
What are some of your favourite things?
I listen to Hayhouse Radio every day as I do not have a TV. I like going to organic shops & health shops. I enjoy heavy weightlifting & Chi Kung. I also love relaxing with my Siamese “Toffee”.
What is your skincare routine?
I look after my skin from the inside and outside. As my digestive system is quite sensitive, I detoxify with good nutrition & supplements. I dry brush my skin and go to a sauna daily as a way to cleanse my skin. And I apply Linden Leaves body oil after a shower.
What is your favourite Linden Leaves Product?
Memories Body Oil has been my favorite Linden Leaves product over the last decade. I initially fell in love with this product in Canterbury 12-13 years ago. The oil is so gentle that I apply it on my face as well as body & hair. My daughter with severe eczema finds it gentle and hydrating too. The red rose in a bottle of golden oil is just so beautiful sitting on my dresser or in the bathroom. The beautiful scent uplifts my spirit during the day and relaxes my mind at night.

We are no stranger to scraping out the last bit of skincare because who wouldn’t want the last drop! Towards the end of your moisturiser you may notice you have some product that won’t pump out, but it is a quick and easy fix. Plus, it’s nice to know that we overfill our products, so …
Let’s talk microbeads! – Happy World Oceans Day As we celebrate World Oceans Day, it’s crucial to address the harmful impact of plastic pollution on our marine ecosystems.
