As we celebrate International Women’s Day this March, we reflect on the remarkable journey of our founder, Brigit Blair, and the values that drive her passion for Linden Leaves.
A Mission Driven by Love and Compassion
Brigit’s journey with Linden Leaves began 29 years ago, driven by a mother’s love and a desire to find relief for her children’s severe eczema and sensitive skin. Recognising the limitations of traditional treatments, Brigit embarked on a quest to harness the healing power of natural fruit and plant oils. Today, our products stand as a testament to Brigit’s unwavering commitment to safe and effective skincare, providing moments of joy and uplift during challenging times.
Supporting Great Causes
From the beginning of Linden Leaves, Brigit has been a staunch supporter of causes that support women’s wellbeing and their children. Over almost 30 years Linden Leaves has contributed to established charities, like Breast Cancer Foundation NZ and Look Good Feel Better, as well as supporting thousands of smaller fundraising initiatives across the Health, Wellbeing and Education sectors. Inspired by her own experiences as a mother, Brigit understands the importance of supporting women and families facing health challenges. Through donations and sponsored products, Linden Leaves stands alongside these causes, offering safe and gentle skincare solutions for mothers and babies in need.
Values That Define a Lifetime
Brigit’s roles as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and business owner have shaped her values of openness, honesty, kindness, and support. Drawing inspiration from her parents’ and grandparents’ work ethic and community spirit, Brigit carries these values into every aspect of her life and business.
Finding Inspiration in Every Moment
While Brigit has encountered many inspiring individuals throughout her journey, she finds inspiration in the simple moments of everyday life. Whether it’s the passion, commitment, or clarity of vision displayed by others, Brigit admires those who approach life with honesty, integrity, and resilience.
Words of Wisdom: Embracing Every Achievement
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, Brigit shares a powerful message for women everywhere. She reminds us to celebrate every achievement, no matter how small, and to take time to appreciate the journey. In the face of challenges, Brigit’s guiding mantra offers solace: “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass but about learning to dance in the rain”
